Dear Andy,

Thank you for applying to take part in 'The Apprentice'. Unfortunately you have not got through to the next round of interviews.

We have been overwhelmed by the quantity and calibre of applicants, and the selection process has been difficult. Please note that our decision is final and we are unable to discuss individual applications.

If you attended your interview, we hope that you enjoyed the day and offer you our best wishes for the future.

Moral of the story? Don't believe people who hint you've been successful if they're not the ones making the final decision…
